Trip #2: Yukon - Land Stewardship & Conservation, Indigenous Cultures & Identities, Legacy of the Klondike Gold Rush ***may long weekend 6-days***
Embark on an unforgettable adventure through the wilderness and storied history of Canada’s Yukon Territory. From the vibrant capital of Whitehorse to the historic gold rush town of Dawson City, this program offers a thrilling experience into the heart of the Yukon. Witness the majestic peaks of Tombstone Territorial Park, a legacy of the Tr'ondëk Hwëch'in land. Traverse the Klondike Highway, following the footsteps of gold prospectors and First Nations Peoples to uncover the timeless allure of the Yukon all while enhancing your understanding and knowledge on how to become stewards of the land.

TRIP # 3: SPain - Girls Soccer Tour - Spring Break
Ms. Cunningham and Ms. Butler are taking a group of soccer players to Spain, where they will engage in international soccer games and training sessions with some of the world's most renowned football clubs. The 2 week trip will be an immersive experience, featuring 3-4 games, training sessions with clubs in Barcelona and Madrid, and the opportunity to explore Spain’s natural wonders and rich heritage, including some beachside exploration. The tour party will comprise of 20-24 players from both the current junior and senior teams, with tryouts in the fall to fill any necessary vacancies. This will be a memorable way to make sure our soccer season starts with success. Please come to a meeting in the Monkman foyer on Friday, May 24th at the beginning of lunch, and bring your questions if you are interested in this adventure. Trip #4: France/Germany - World War History -Spring Break
From Vimy to Juno and Beyond: A tour of Canadian battlefields in Western Europe.
Join us as we set foot on the battlefields where Canadians fought during both World Wars in this exciting 12-day adventure, organized by EF Tours, and hosted by two keen and knowledgeable history educators. Starting in Berlin -- the frontline of the Cold War -- we will travel west to learn about Canadian efforts to liberate Holland during WWII. From there, we'll head south to the WWI battlefields of Ypres and Vimy Ridge, and onto Normandy, the site of the famous D-Day Landings in 1944. Next, we'll visit Paris and explore the palace where Canadian diplomats signed the Treaty of Versailles. We will finish the trip by exploring the sights of London, just like so many thousands of young Canadians did on their way to fight in Western Europe. This trip will be amazing opportunity to gain travel experience in a safe and educational way, explore diverse European cultures and learn more about our wartime history experientially, by visiting the very places where it happened. TRIP # 5: MUSIC TOUR: ARGENTINA -Spring Break
Our Spring Break Music and Cultural Exchange to Argentina is for students registered in choir, band, and strings classes. We will start our adventure in the city of Buenos Aries and finish with several days at the beach resort of Mar del Plata. In addition to music, students will learn local history, see the sights, and visit nature in a tour designed to introduce diverse elements of Argentinian culture. Students will spend four nights with host families to experience facets of daily life, with 6 nights in modern hotels. We will perform 4 concerts -- two with local schools and two in community settings. Musical experiences will include a tour of Teatro Colón, a world-class theatre for opera, ballet, and symphony, contrasting with experiences of música folklórica, the traditional music of the country.
The estimated cost of $5300 includes flights, 10 nights accommodation (4 with billets, 6 in hotel), guided tours, as well as breakfast and dinner each day.
