NEW - FLY FiSHING!

In this cohort you will have the chance to explore Vancouver Island’s rich fresh water bounty. You will learn techniques associated with fly fishing as well as spend time with local fishing enthusiasts. Themes will include conservation & sustainability through active engagement with nature.

For your pursuit week, you will spend an intensive week fishing! It will be a full five days at a fishing lodge, spending time connecting in nature, camping, cooking over fire, have outdoor art opportunities, as well as hiking in the stunning Vancouver Island environment.

Hard skills: Fishing Gear identification, Fresh Water fishing technique, Outdoor Survival

Expedition Days

Each expedition day will be a combination of spending time close to nature and learning about the skills and equipment needed to be a practiced Fly Fisherman.

Pursuit

Put the skills you’ve learned throughout the expedition days to good use as you will be a full five days at a fishing lodge, spending time connecting in nature, camping, cooking over fire, have outdoor art opportunities, as well as hiking in the stunning Vancouver Island environment.

Faculty Leaders

Brad Ingimundson & Alex Cecill, both lovers of the outdoors and the arts, will be leading this cohort in combination with a number of local Fishing experts.
